While other kits focus on the number of items, we focus on the item’s value. For trauma kits we follow the M.A.R.C.H algorithm from the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty care. This algorithm has become the key approach for treating the reversible causes of death for trauma patients. For all our kits we do not count individual band aids in order to make it seem as though it is more valuable by having more pieces, but instead we give you only the most effective items to keep you and your family safe.

M- Massive Hemorrhage: Using tourniquets and pressure dressing to stop major bleeding.

A- Airway: Depending on skills and experience this is to make sure the patient has a patent airway without obstruction.

R- Respirations: This category is most commonly impacted by pneumo/ hemothorax (a collapsed lung due to air or blood.)

C- Circulation: Correction of circulation is accomplished by rapidly stopping blood loss.

H- Hypothermia/ head injury- Using blankets and protecting from the environment to maintain body heat. Head injury is addressed by maintaining adequate blood flow and oxygenation.
